It’s looking like more of the same when it comes to weather this week.
While temperatures will vary slightly each day, it will remain fairly constant throughout the work week and heading into the weekend.
“Overall it’s going to be fairly mild, or at least seasonable, with temperatures in the upper 50s into the 60s each day. Lows at night generally in the 30s,” said National Weather Service Meteorologist Paul Skrbac. “And then each afternoon to early evening there will be a few thunderstorms with gusty wind.”
Skrbac said a new storm system will move into Idaho as we move into the weekend, bringing with it cooler weather in Sweetwater County.
While Skrbac said the weekend weather won’t be terrible, he said winds will begin to pick up over the weekend. Thunderstorms can’t be ruled out for the holiday weekend.
“Temperatures are still fairly seasonable, but there will be periods of cloud cover and no day where we can eliminate any chance of showers and thunderstorms,” Skrbac said about the upcoming weekend.
Skrbac said the northwest part of the Cowboy State will see more unfavorable weather over Memorial Day weekend with a storm in the area. Skrbac said the weekend for northwest Wyoming looks to be cool and unsettled with the possibility of snow in the mountains.
