A Nevada fugitive was captured in Rock Springs Thursday afternoon.
Rebecca Alice Chambers, also known as Rebecca Russell, Rebecca Hodgdon, and Becky Heitsch, age 49, was arrested in the Walmart parking lot by a team of Sweetwater County deputy sheriffs and detectives at around 2:20 p.m., according to a release from the Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office.
Chambers was wanted by Elko, Nevada, authorities on forgery and theft charges.
Sweetwater County Sheriff Mike Lowell said that officials in Nevada have been notified that Chambers is in custody, and it is expected that she will be transported there soon.
