Part Of Denver International Airport Evacuated Due To Possible Security Threat

*Updated at 4:54 p.m.* Denver Police have cleared the suspicious items and no threat was found. Levels 5 and 6 are currently open for passengers.

Original: Multiple news outlets are reporting that Denver International Airport has been partially evacuated due to a possible security threat—including Denver 7 and the Denver Post.

According to an airport Tweet and a post from the airport on Facebook, part of the main terminal has been evacuated on the west side between door 600 and 610 on levels five and six. The airport first announced the evacuation on social media at about 2:30 p.m.

Affected ticket counters include America, Aero Mexico, Air Canada, Lufthansa, and British Airways. The airport says flight delays are possible.

Continued Tweets say Denver Police Bomb Squad is at the scene and investigating a suspicious package.
