Flaming Gorge Days is celebrating 60 years in Green River, WY, which kicks-off on Thursday with their annual 3 day golf tournament at Rolling Green Country Club starting at 1 pm.
Friday Family Night
Friday starts off with the 3 on 3 basketball tournament at Evers Park at 8 am, followed by Festival in the Park and the children’s entertainment starting at 10 am. Admission for Festival in the Park and the children’s entertainment is free.
Later that evening for Friday Family Night/Country Night at Stratton Myers Park is Chancey Williams and the Younger Brothers Band in concert along with Westbound 40 and local group Nowhere Fast. In addition to the live music the event will also include fun for the whole family with an 18′ bouncy slide, sumo suits, a bungee run, lazer tag, face painting, a mechanical bull and a variety of games. There’s also a glow run, which starts at 9 pm.
The gates open up at 5:30 pm and the concerts start 7 pm. Tickets are $15 for adults and children 12 and under are free.
Saturday Events
The 3 on 3 basketball tournament continues along with Festival in the Park and the children’s entertainment, all taking place at Evers Park. The “Nifty Fifty’s” parade starts at 10:00 am on Uinta Drive. Participants should note that the parade route has changed this year due to construction.
Additional events on Saturday include the 4 on 4 volleyball tournament, horseshoe tournament, cornhole tournament, dodgeball tournament and live entertainment. These events take place at Expedition Island.
Later that night it’s Rock Night at Stratton Myers Park with performances from Night Ranger, Saliva and Berlin Breaks. The FGD Committee has also added some fun with a mechanical bull, sumo suits and a bungee run.
Gates open up at 6:00 pm and the concerts starts at 7 pm. Tickets for all ages are $30 in advance and $35 at the gate.

Free Safe Rides
This year the FGD Committee is providing safe rides to the concerts both Friday and Saturday nights. In Rock Springs, residents can park at the White Mountain Mall and take a bus straight to Stratton Myers Parkl. In Green River stops include Lincoln Middle School, Hitching Post Restaurant, and the Green River Chamber on to Stratton Myers Park.
Pick up times on Friday start at 5:30 pm and run until midnight. On Saturday the buses will run from 6 pm until midnight. The rides are absolutely free.
