Cliff Creek Fire Grows To Over 7600 Acres

The Cliff Creek Fire near Bondurant, Wyo. has grown to an estimated 7,671 acres and continues to grow. Approximately 464 personnel are fighting the fire, which was caused by lightning.WWB_BAB

A red flag warning is in place due to gusty winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures. Due to weather, a high fire spread potential is predicted.

Due to smoke and fire activity, U.S. Highway 189/191 remains closed and will stay closed until further notice. The current closure is between Daniel Junction and Hoback Junction.

Public meetings are scheduled for 6 p.m. July 20th at Bondurant School, 6 p.m. July 21st at Hoback Fire Station #3, and 6 p.m. July 22nd at the Pinedale Administration Building (Old Elementary School).

The blaze was initially reported at about 2:3 p.m. on Sunday about five miles north of Bondurant.

The Red Cross has set up an evacuation venter at the Pinedale High School Wrangler Gym at 655 N. Tyler Street in Pinedale for those who have been evacuated due to the fire.
