Aspen Mountain Medical Center plans to open to the public next month.
The new multi-specialty hospital stands at 4401 College Drive in Rock Springs.
The hospital has 16 large, single-patient rooms equipped with a sink, bathroom and large window. In addition, Aspen Mountain Medical Center has an isolation room which functions to isolate an illness from spreading. The isolation room is larger than other patient rooms and is equipped with its own air flow.
With four fully-equipped surgical suites, two procedure rooms, two orthopedic exam rooms, doctor locker rooms, cafeteria (open to the public), patient rooms, and more—the 51,500 square foot facility offers medical care for a wide range of medical conditions, illnesses and injuries.
Aspen Mountain Medical Center features 14 unique specialties including:
- Family Medicine
- General Surgery
- Internal Medicine
- Interventional Radiology
- Pain Management
CEO Steve Perry said in an earlier interview that the facility will have around 30 doctors when opened. In addition, the center will employ between 60 and 70 people, most of whom are from the Sweetwater County area.
The large lobby provides an open layout with art from local artists.
An open house will be held on April 2, 2016 from 1:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. The open house will provide the opportunity for the public to meet Aspen Mountain Medical Center physicians and support staff. The public will also be able to tour the facility.
