A man from Arvada, Wyo. died in a one-vehicle crash southeast of Sheridan on Friday.
Donald Malli, 60, died in a crash that occurred at about 5 p.m. on June 17th on US Highway 14/16 about 55 miles southeast of Sheridan, according to the Wyoming Highway Patrol.
Malli was driving a 2002 Buick Park Avenue west on the highway when he failed to properly negotiate a curve in the road. The vehicle was overcorrected, crossed the centerline, and left the highway, rolling into the ditch.
Malli was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected during the crash, suffering fatal injuries on scene.
WHP says driver inattention is being investigated as a contributing factor in this crash that marked the 37th highway fatality in Wyoming for 2016. There were 59 fatalities during this same time period in 2015.
