A Rock Springs woman was injured in a rollover crash at the intersection of Foothill Boulevard and Cascade Drive Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Rock Springs Police Department, officers were dispatched to the intersection at about 12:22 p.m. where a vehicle was reported to be upside down.
Upon arrival, officers found that a Scion xB was upside down, and a Ford Taurus was also involved in the crash.
An investigation found that the driver of the Taurus, 65-year-old Elizabeth Helekahi, of Rock Springs, was attempting to turn left from Cascade Drive onto Foothill Boulevard when she struck the Scion xB, causing it to flip.
Helekahi was transported to Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County for treatment of her injuries.
Helekahi was issued a citation for failure to yield right of way in an intersec
