The preliminary hearing for Bradley Ross Fairbourn, 18 of Draper, UT, has been rescheduled for July 26th at 9 a.m. The hearing was originally scheduled for June 30th at 3 p.m.

According to the Rock Springs Circuit Court, Fairbourn has waived his right to a speedy preliminary hearing.

Sweetwater County Attorney Daniel Erramouspe said in cases such as this, it is not uncommon to waive the right to a speedy preliminary hearing so the defense has enough time to go over the information. Erramouspe said it appears Fairbourn will be represented by public defender Rob Oldham.

The preliminary hearing determines if there is enough probable cause to move a felony case forward to District Court.

Fairbourn is accused of stabbing and killing 29-year-old Naisha Rae Story, of South Jordan, UT, and attempting to kill Linda Mara Natalia Arce on June 23rd.

He faces a charge of Murder in the First Degree and a charge of Attempted Murder in the First Degree. Both charges have possible punishments of death, life imprisonment without parole, or life imprisonment, and a fine of up to $10,000.
