WYDOT Inspecting and Maintaining Tunnels Near Green River

Traffic on Interstate 80 near Green River at the tunnels will be impacted over the next couple of days as Wyoming Department of Transportation crews inspect the tunnel structures and conduct maintenance. Airport

Tuesday, speeds are reduced eastbound as traffic approaches the tunnels. Traffic is being moved to the westbound tunnel, so people will see speed reductions and head-to-head traffic briefly through the work area.

Wednesday, the same type of work is scheduled to take place on the westbound tunnel. As a result, traffic will be moved to the eastbound tunnel and people will again see head-to-head traffic in the work area.

Work is slated until 6 p.m. both days.

The work is part of WYDOT’s annual inspections and maintenance on the tunnels.
