A fundraiser event for a man with stage four cancer will be held at the Elks Lodge in Rock Springs on Saturday, April 9, 2016.
“Jammin’ for Joe” will benefit Joe McGarvey as he fights stage four throat cancer—supraglottic squamous cell carcinoma. Funds raised will be used to help McGarvey with medical bills and living expenses.
The event at the Elks Lodge, 307 C Street, starts at 6:30 p.m. Entry is $5.
The fundraiser is a “rockin’ rap show” featuring performances by Chuck Dittman, Sickamore Treezy, YT, Tranc3Fuzion, Big Tone, ZamTrip, B-Boy Twist and The Limitless Freerunners.
The event will also have a silent auction.
In addition, the Elks Lodge is providing a spaghetti dinner before the event. Those interested in the dinner can go to the Elks Lodge starting at 5 p.m. The dinner is $5 and comes with a plate of spaghetti and a salad.
