According to the Rock Springs Police Department, Madeleine Garcia has been located and is okay. The Rock Springs Police Department thanks everyone who called with information regarding her whereabouts.
RSPD Public Information Office Alison Deters says Garcia was located the night of February 8, 2016 in Utah. Garcia saw the missing person information via social media and went to a police station in Utah to inform them of her whereabouts and she was removed from the missing person’s database.
Deters says there was a large response from the community informing police of Garcia’s location through telephone and social media.
“The immediate response with missing persons is really initially what helps find these people,” said Deters. “And I think once she saw it, she wanted to get it taken care of.”

The Rock Springs Police Department is seeking help from the public in locating a missing person.
Madeleine Garcia, 18, of Rock Springs was last seen by family on January 22, 2016. Madeleine was last seen driving a 2001 Light Blue Mitsubishi with Wyoming registration 4-45172.
The family has not had any contact with her since then and has become concerned. Family believes that Madeleine has contacts in the Evanston, Wyoming and Salt Lake City Metro, Utah area.
